The Mela is being organised at the spacious Old Port near Puducherry Rock Beach. Super specialty medical consultation to the common public would be given free of cost. The Mela would be open till 1st of May, it will also provide insight into healthy food habits. Traditional Food Mela is also being conducted in the venue. Speaking on the occasion, the Lt. Governor said that the Mela shows the aim of Central Government and its efforts towards a healthy India. She requested the people of Puducherry to make use of the opportunity. This Mela motivate young students who wish to pursue their career in medicine, he said and exhorted the doctors to serve rural populace.
