Durga Puja, the five-day autumn festival organised by  Bangabharathi, Bengali Association of Puducherry

The festival beginning with Shashti and ending with Vijayadashami is being celebrated with great passion at Saibaba Thirumananilayam, where idols of the goddess and her four children have been  installed and worshipped amid much fanfare.

A series of socio-cultural events have been lined up on the festive occasion along with religious rituals. Priests from Kolkata are conducting the puja along with local priests.

Cultural artistes also from Kolkata would be performing and entertaining the people on the festive occasion, said A Bhattacharjee, president of Bangabharathi.
