| Diwali Nombu |
Nombu is not taken by all the southern tamilnadu people. It is practised in the northern districts around Chennai where telugu people are in majority. Through those practice some district people (especially chennai, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore, Thiruvallur ) celebrate this nombu on amavasya day of deepavali. That to only very few community people have this nombu.Those who take nombu will not take non veg food on that day. But for other people it is a day to take compulsorily non veg food especially mutton.
